Falling pregnant during the pandemic was exceptionally difficult. It didn’t seem to matter how determined I was to make friends, all other new parents seemed to be withdrawn from society, hiding to stay safe.
Classes, groups and family support services are only just getting back on their feet and therefore, it became my mission to try to find and unite this precious community that had been facing this crisis!
Now pregnant for the second time, thankfully services seem to be restarting, however with funding being cut and the cost of living crisis hitting harder than ever I hope to be able to create a safe, welcoming environment for parents to reach out too.

I can’t wait to be part of something which I hope will help so many families navigate the role of parenthood, after all – it takes a village. I think The ABC’s mission is vital. My experience with my two boys is polar opposite. Talking and sharing our experiences is key, and three years later, the resources and support for new families are still decimated.
I hope to bring some truthful insights into parenthood, hopefully, answer some questions and make life just that little bit easier for those who need it.
I can’t wait to share this journey with you all, and will be looking after the Marketing and Partnerships for The ABC alongside Chloe to bring you the best benefits we can!
“During pregnancy and birth, many women can develop mental health problems for the first time, or are at risk of a pre-existing illness becoming worse should the right support not be made available to them in time.
In fact, it is estimated that up to one in four expectant and new mothers are affected by perinatal mental health problems.”
